Remains of a glacier. The flat plain after the retreat of the glacier is clearly visible. The remaining ice "clings" to the rocks as if to say: don't let go of me. A sad sight.

Snowfield on the crossing and towards the Schweinfurter Hütte... but very easy to walk, even for beginners. It's slanted, but not so much that you could seriously slip.
