The Brandalm is about 200 m above Längenfeld and offers a great view and it is especially great for children because all kinds of mini animals frolic around the farm. The Alm is also open in winter from December. Monday & Tuesday are closed. You can get information by calling +43 5253 5283

I do not know how anyone gets the idea that this is a difficult hike. The way from Längenfeld to the Brandalm is a bit steep but nice to walk. Already after approx. 15 min. from the center of town you can hardly hear the noise of the street below. On the Brandalm you can relax very well and spend the day with good food. Prices are reasonable and the food is fresh. The way to the suspension bridge is well laid out and not very steep. From there to Burgstein and the access road back to the valley floor. We recommend.

Wonderful view from the Brandalm and you can meet many nice animals, some of which can be petted (goats, mini pigs and chickens) From here you can easily continue to the suspension bridge.

Not only the pasture but also the small chapel of the Alm invites you to linger. Those who are there should read the little descriptions that are about the pasture, the chapel and the history of the valley.

On the suspension bridge there is a dog track, our dog ran smoothly over the bridge.
