The Pits are a series of small grit quarries etched into the hillside overlooking Diggle. They can be gloomy and dank on a bad day however on a good one the combination of sun on clean rock, vibrant grass and a blue sky make for a pleasant environment

Komoot route took us round and below to head down to Diggle. First we came to a sign saying no access and danger because of the driving range. Then we came to a gate saying private road. No other way through so had to backtrack up to the trig. First time I have used Komoot to plan a route . Have no confidence in it now.
