This ford is best made when the tide is low. The creek is quite wide and deep, and the current is strong as it enters the ocean. At low tide, the best spot to cross is out near the shore break where it is shallow. We were able to cross a couple of hours after low tide. Always carry a tide table if you are doing this hike!
