In my opinion, water is a particularly beautiful detail on any hike. And here in Iserlohn's city forest, right next to the Rupenteich pond, is the so-called Ballot Fountain, also known as the Juffern Spring. The fountain was named in 1760 after its then owner and holder of the water rights there, Iserlohn councilman and deputy mayor Heinrich Gisbert Ballot.
