Also a nice building in the old town of Zschopau.

The former late Gothic hall church was almost completely destroyed in the town fire in 1748. Including the Gothic choir, it was rebuilt in 1751 as a Baroque hall church. It houses the third largest baroque organ in Saxony. The classical pulpit altar is also remarkable. The tower of the church was only completed in 1798.

The Protestant St. Martin's Church is one of Zschopau's landmarks. Its origins can be traced back to 1494. The late Gothic perimeter walls from this period are still visible in the choir area. The building subsequently suffered several city fires. St. Martin's Church's current Baroque appearance dates largely from 1751, although the tower was not completed until 1798. It was designed by Siegert, a master carpenter from Schneeberg. The interior features the third-largest surviving Baroque organ in Saxony, created by Jacob Oertel from Grรผnhain. Equally remarkable is the neoclassical altar from 1858.
