Here the trail leads along the open grassland along the Dahme. Here you can watch how a meander arises. A meander is a river loop. Caused by the current and power of the flowing water, a demolition edge is created on one side of the river. The radius of a meander becomes larger and bigger due to the erosion on the outside of the curve and the deposit on the inside of the curve. So it remains exciting how this Dahmemäander will evolve over the next few years.
