Today the castle is a youth facility of the district of Karlsruhe. In the summer of 2004, the castle went into the ownership of the Karlsruhe district and the Rhein-Neckar district, each holding 50%. The district of Karlsruhe is now the sole sponsor of the Schloss Stutensee gGmbH youth facility.
