This biotope accumulates in a small depression in the middle of the Beuren Heath. An unusual place on the otherwise arid Alb. Meltwater, solidified to ice in early spring, fills the simple oval. The local pines and junipers keep a respectful distance, as if to emphasize the peculiarity of the small lake.
