The Büs de la Noga, also called Grotta dell'Orso, represents the largest cavity in Valsolda.
It measures about 50 meters in length, the width varies between 5 and 7 meters, for a maximum height of 7 meters.
The bottom, covered with soil, appears to have been moved by the excavations carried out in 1883 by Pompeo Castelfranco.
In search of traces of prehistoric man, he instead found a large quantity of bones of the Ursus spelaeus, the cave bear: these finds are now exhibited at the Cantonal Museum of Natural History in Lugano (CH).
