Hiking Highlight
The convent ruins run by a donation cost entry, but it's worth it. The meditation path with texts by Hildegard von Bingen as well as the monumental ruin in the forest are very impressive. The small, modern chapel on the edge of the ruins overlooking the valley invites you to stop. At the entrance there is coffee and cake, a small museum and a nice museum shop with a good selection of books around Hildegard von Bingen.

Here was an atmosphere that touched my heart. Maybe that will happen to you too.

The heart of the pilgrimage route, it is the place where Hildegard von Bingen lived for almost 40 years

Very large monastery complex on the mountain top. Impressive, but mostly just foundation walls.

I have a question: is the ruin freely accessible during the Corona period?
