Tips
When the Palthe family built their country house in De Lutte, the sand that was released formed a "mountain". This mountain was called 'The Pulpit', in reference to their ancestor who was a minister: Johannes Palthe. From De Preekstoel you had (and still have) a beautiful view of the surroundings. It used to be a popular meeting place where the latest news was exchanged.
