Herberge is a district of Schalksmühle in the Märkisches Kreis and is located south of the core town of Schalksmühle, directly on the city limits of Halver.The hostel, which initially belonged to the parish of Halver, was first mentioned in a document in 1473, but the settlement's origins are believed to have been between 900 and 1050 as a result of Franconian-Carolingian settlement building. The farm was an offshoot of Rottsiepen.
