This beautiful area consists mainly of shady forest, wetland and some agriculture to provide enough food for the wildlife. Within the Carolina Management Area you can hike beautifully, for example on the 2.4 mile North Loop or the 3.3 mile South Loop. In addition, the long-distance North South Trail runs through the park.
