Together, these two war cemeteries are among the largest in the Netherlands. They can be seen from the A58, not far from the Zoomland interchange, and are separated from each other by a narrow green strip. The Bergen-op-Zoom War Cemetary, the official name, has 1296 graves. The soldiers came mainly from Great Britain, but also from Australia and New Zealand, among others. The adjacent Bergen-op-Zoom Canadian War Cemetery contains 1115 graves.
