Follow the track passing Rothiemurchus lodge through the stunning Glenmore Forest. Rothiemurchus translates as 'Fort of the Murchus', dating back to the 8th Century. Enjoy walking through the ancient Caledonian Pine Forest which has been a regeneration project for several years and is a home to many uncommon species, such as the Red Squirrel and Capercaillie.

Would not recommend!!! The loop trough the forest wasn't as nice as expected because all the trees were cleared. Sometimes there were no paths at all and the way guided directly trough the reindeer cherish why we had to make a detour that lastet much longer! Not as nice as other hiking roads in the national park!
