Hiking on Lake Brienz is worthwhile at any time of the year. Be it along the Brienzer Promenade, or on the Brienzer Rothorn, or from Iseltwald along the lake to the Grand Hotel Giessbach with its waterfalls, or on the wildly romantic Axalp... or the nearby Ballenberg open-air museum.
In summer, however, the village of Brienz is a tourist hot spot.
