The excavation site is open around the clock and there is no entry fee. You can get a good overview from platforms. Many remains of the wall have already been uncovered.

The following text is on the information board:
The settlement of s'Illot is one of the most important
Sites of the Talayotic and Night-Talayotic culture (850-123 BC) both because of their monumental diversity and because of their complex and extensive historical development, which begins in the Bronze Age and extends into the Middle Ages. The archaeological site consists of various monumental buildings around which the houses in which the community lived were built.

The most important is the tower-shaped monument, a communal building from the Late Bronze Age (1200-900 BC), which was undoubtedly the predecessor of the classic circular and square talayots (small watchtowers) of the Iron Age. Around that
Various areas or rooms were later added to the tower-shaped monument, in which some of the residents of s'Illot probably lived. Among these structures, a kidney-shaped room stands out, excavated between the 1960s and 1970s, which has become one of the reference models to know what houses looked like in the Talayotic period.

The site's other structures include a circular outdoor area traditionally interpreted as a talayot; an enclosure wall, which remains in fragments and connects different areas, and two horseshoe-shaped structures located to the east of the wall, which are typologically related to shrines (places of worship).

In addition, to the south of the settlement, in the part closest to the sea, there is a network of structures grouped around a circular space that has not yet been excavated. This area is the least known of the settlement.

This archaeological site is located quite unexpectedly in the middle of the holiday resort. Several horseshoe shrines and a tower with adjoining living and communal rooms were found. Some of them date from the Middle Ages and the Bronze Age.
