Esmoriz has a series of sandy beaches thanks to a sequence of wave-breakers that help settle the sand that otherwise washes away with rising sea levels and winter storms. Still the wind requires to move sand and lean the esplanade every spring. The resulting beach is clean and wide, across the street from waterfront cafes and restaurants.

Between Esmoriz and Espinho are several beautiful stretches of beach. The beach is relatively wide, clean and partly with entertainment or restaurants nearby. Still very quiet!
