A fantastic cycling and hiking trail runs along here, surrounded by beautiful nature 💚. The beach walk is approximately 6-8 km long, depending on how far you extend it. At high tide, it could be shortened to 2 km. A visit is highly recommended 👍🏼.

A pearl in the Kehdinger Land is the Elbe island of Krautsand. In 1575, an island in the middle of the Elbe river with the name "Krutsand" was mentioned for the first time. From 1620 the first real houses were built on mounds of earth (Wurten) on Krautsand to protect against storm surges. From 1976 Krautsand was dyked.
