In the middle of the Dutch dune landscape they appear like threatening creatures: huge concrete blocks. These are the bunkers of the Atlantic Wall which Nazi Germany built during World War II. Today the bunkers have a low status; they are stunted, stained, overgrown or buried under the dunes. Nevertheless, there are still many of the bunkers which were built along the Atlantic coast.
