The original border line, with its wall and patrol path, is still present at Griebnitzsee today: where the path once ended at a concrete barrier, there is now a fence or hedge belonging to the current property owners! The new rich won't allow a continuous riverside path like the one on the north shore – regardless of what the German constitution says about the social obligation of property.
Unfortunately, Komoot suggests the riverside path is permeable until you reach the obstacle!
