The castle stands in a strategic position on a hill surrounded by the Stura di Demonte at the end of the axis of Via Roma, overlooked by houses with medieval remains, and by the subsequent Napoleonic avenue.

Entering south into via S. Pietro, you come to viale Salmatoris, at the end of which you will find the castle. The majestic manor has a square plan, with towers at the four corners with Ghibelline battlements and a smaller one on the entrance with a drawbridge. To the right of the castle the visitor is offered a nice walk along the avenue of plane trees. It enjoys a splendid view over the hills of Novello, La Morra and Vergne.

During our visit we unfortunately found a neglected castle domain. Unfortunately.
Perhaps a challenge for the green service. A refurbishment and opening of the park could be an added value for Cherasco.
