Since February 6, 1922, the Gießen District Court has been based in a building built between 1913 and 1916 on behalf of the Grand Ducal Building Department at Gutfleischstraße 1. The main entrance area is particularly striking, and it looks quite impressive because of the four columns and the outside staircase and a knight figure. During the Second World War, the building was badly damaged, for example the mansard roof was destroyed. Since 1995, an extension has been added to the original building, which has become too small.

You don't necessarily have to post mail to the court here, you can put it directly in the house mailbox 📮. ✅
