In the Krogemann barrel factory, the last of its kind in northern Germany, wooden barrels are manufactured using processes that are sometimes over a hundred years old.
Christoph Krogemann is the third generation to run the “Fassewerkstatt Alfred Krogemann”. Many of his machines are over 100 years old. Almost all of them come from the company that Krogemann's grandfather once took over from his teacher. At that time the company was called “Fassverutilization Hoppe”.
