Permanent and special exhibitions on Hildegard von Bingen, the romanticism of the Rhine and the town's history from the Romans to the present day are presented against the magnificent backdrop of the Binger Loch in the historic power station from 1889. An archaeological sensation is the "Bingen doctor's set" from the 2nd century AD, comprising 67 instruments - the world's largest find of ancient medicine.
