The Ziegler Passage takes you safely across a small stream in a boggy New Forest 'bottom' (wet place). I've marked it as a segment because it is not immediately obvious that a safe route exists when you're in this location.

There is a memorial stone that was erected in memory of Major Colin Louis Ziegler who was a stalwart of the New Forest and worked tirelessly for many years to ensure the forest's protection and conservation.

Safe all year, but wellies recommended when the ground is particularly soggy!

The Ziegler Passage takes you across a small stream in the New Forest.

The stone was erected in memory of Major Colin Louis Ziegler who was a stalwart of the New Forest and worked tirelessly for many years to ensure its protection and conservation. He was Chairman of the New Forest Association and his ancestor William Ziegler later held the same position and is now a trustee of the association.
