The Martinskirche stands on a small hill in the south of Mattersburg. It is the Roman Catholic parish church of the municipality and dedicated to Saint Martin of Tours.
The church was built in the 14th and 15th centuries, the date 1404 can be found on the tower. Two side aisles were added in the 18th century. It got its current appearance in 1976, when during renovations an entrance hall by the church staircase, a southern chapel and a sacristy were added.
