The path along the Rodach is beautiful. At the western end, between the landfill and the hammer mill, the weir is closed. It looks pretty rotten.

In Wallenfels you can walk or ride a bike almost all over the place. In the eastern, upper sections it is a beautiful bike path, in the western, lower sections there is a hiking or mountain bike path marked as a rafting path.
One has to realize that the course of the Rodach as it is now does not correspond to the natural course. A river would not naturally run that straight. It is a straightened stretch that has been prepared with great effort for the rafting industry. Often the river bank is bricked for this reason. It is a "rafts racetrack" with some weirs and a raft passage in between.
