    Beautiful sculpture on the promenade.

The bronze sculpture dancing towards the water is a 1.70 m tall figure that bears the title Schleswigerin. This work of art was commissioned by the Schleswig-Gottorf Rotary Club from the Potsdam sculptor Carl Constantin Weber on the occasion of the Schleswig State Horticultural Show and was ceremonially unveiled on Saturday, April 12, 2008 in the presence of the artist. Since the woman from Schleswig has stood on the so-called love island on the Schlei promenade in the city of Schleswig, she has become a landmark and a popular photo motif. Several round plinths were grouped around the figure, giving the impression that the woman in her hat, cape and bathing suit was jumping from plinth to plinth towards the water.
