Basillika of Alberobello - the church has existed since at least the 17th century - but it was constantly expanded and rebuilt.

Church of Santi Medici Cosma e Damiano: Unmistakable elements of the Alberobello skyline are the two bell towers of the Basilica Minor, dedicated to the city's patron saint, the SS. Doctors Cosma and Damiano. The monument, one of the most important in the city, is located on the north side of the historic center and the current design dates back to 1885, the work of the well-known Alberobello architect Antonio Curri. The church is linked to the cult of the saint, inside which there are two wooden statues (1782 and 1784) and the reliquary with bone fragments of San Cosma and San Damiano. Architect Antonio Curri's project was carried out over the years until it was finally completed in its current form in 1914. The only element ever present in the Curri project was the majestic dome at the center of the complex, in the shape of a Latin cross.

The Catholic church in sandstone is impressive due to its size and its two bell towers. At the entrance there is a bust of a former pope.
