The originally Romanesque church in Adelsdorf goes back to an "own church" owned by the lords of Othlohesdorf. It stood in what is now the cemetery and was probably a "choir tower church" from the Staufer period, a fortified church with a strong wall.
She was to St. Stephen and St. Consecrated to Sebastian, with the former being considered the main patron. In 1908 the architect F.Fuchsenberger built today's St. Stephen's Church in the form of a basilica (3 naves with barrel vaults). On the long walls of the side aisles are baroque altars that were taken from the old church, including the Anna Selbdritt altar (around 1480) and the Mater Dolorosa altar (16th century). The Romanesque church burned down in 1929.
