The small baroque town hall is a successor to the Renaissance town hall, which was destroyed in the Thirty Years' War. Behind the town hall is the former Ratskeller, built in 1545, with a beautiful fan rosette frieze. Until 1974 the city administration was housed here. It now houses the Office for Tourism (Tourist Information), Citizens' Office and Council Chamber. Marriages take place regularly in the council chamber.

At the town hall - to the left of the entrance - there is a box with all kinds of information. Among other things, there are also the ILE stamp books.
