Not much is left of the Rechenberg knight's castle. It was built in 1200 as a wooden castle and 50 years later as a stone castle. In 1398 it was sold to Borso VI, together with the entire property of the Reichenburg family, by the Margrave of Meissen for 40,000 silver thalers. bought, which ended a dispute between Bohemia and Saxony. In 1586 it fell victim to a major fire. It was still used in the following years, but fell into disrepair. At the end of the 18th century it was decided to demolish the castle. The remains of the castle complex can be seen high up on a rocky outcrop and since 1969 it has been a protected monument that cannot be entered. They are still enthroned today over the Mulde, the market square and the town hall. Diagonally opposite is the inheritance court building: it was created in the 14th century with the manor and village (court and liquor right), in 1799 it was rebuilt as a residential and A tavern was set up, a hall was added in 1896, it was rebuilt in its present form in 1982/83, and today it is a popular hotel with bikers.
