The entrance/exit of this restricted byway on Old Rufford Road means this route is not for everyone, personally I opted to walk along the grass verge (there’s no pavement) until I reached a safe place to cross, which is a shame as the route is mostly well surfaced, apart from the first section at the other end which is a steep water damaged climb/decent, a hard slog on the way up but better suited to an MTB on the way down
