The largest cast steel bell (g0) in Bavaria has been given a worthy place at the entrance to the basilica. The large bell of the five-part cast steel bell acquired in 1947. It is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and, with its 6.2 t, a diameter of 2.40 m and a height of 2.10 m, is considered the largest cast steel bell in Bavaria. Now it stands here as a not entirely silent but expressive witness to the courage and confidence of the people who, after the war, acquired these bells for the monastery church in Scheyern with great sacrifice and effort. In 2009, this post-war bell was replaced with a 14-part bronze bell due to material fatigue and static problems in the tower. Source: kloster-scheyern.de/klosterrundgang
