Font de La Pineda

La Font de la Pineda is one of the farmhouses in the village of Riells del Fai, in the municipality of Bigues i Riells, in the Vallès Oriental. It was built in the northwest of the town and the village to which it belongs, which is very close. It is located on the left and on the banks of the Tenes, next to a spring that gives it its name: the Font de la Pineda. It used to be a farmhouse in La Pineda, to the north-west of which it is located. It is also south of La Madella, and close to and west of Can Jaume. The current building is the refurbishment of an earlier building, carried out in the early twentieth century. It is square and has two floors, with later extensions for use as a restaurant. The main façade has an acroterion at the top behind which is a two-sided roof. The initial work looks for symmetry, and three locks can be seen on the façade, separated by bricks as a frame, a distribution that is also given with the openings on the outside, and with a stone plinth at the end.
