The Unglücksberg, located in the middle of the natural forest reserve Waldkugel, is a wooded elevation in the west of Würzburg on the border with the market town of Reichenberg.

The Unglücksberg is located southwest of the Würzburg forest cemetery and north of the federal highway 3 on the Würzburg district as part of the Guttenberg forest.

The Unglücksberg rises 329 m above sea level.

With the designation of the natural forest reserve with an area of 75 hectares, the foundation stone for a primeval forest of tomorrow was laid. Forest management was stopped here over 10 years ago. The Waldkugel natural forest reserve is the only natural beech forest reserve on the Mainfränkische Platte.
