The Heimatatsmühle is steeped in tradition and closely linked to Hof's oldest history. It is one of the oldest milling operations in our landscape. Already in 1399 it is called the property of the Lords of Ahelfingen. In August 1969, a big fire destroyed the mill operation. Fortunately, the barn building, which was located directly on the main road and painted with beautiful motifs from agriculture and mill operation, was spared the fire. The characteristic exterior facade of the residential and administrative building has been preserved. The mill itself was rebuilt as a modern tower mill.
