In great hiking weather, we went from the Naturfreibad Niederalfingen onto the Skulpturenweg and on a circular route to the castle back to the outdoor pool. There was truly good cake at the café by the Dorfschmiede.

A hot day for cross country running in Dentlein, starting in the morning. The fire department has thankfully set up three stations with a cooling shower. Every year, for me, the run is a highlight in the calendar, as the organizer creates a great and relaxed atmosphere.

The industrial city of Salzgitter has something to offer scenically and historically. We hiked on the Salzgitter Höhenzug near Lichtenberg, where the Welf castle from the Middle Ages also stands. On the Höhenzug, we then walked to the "Adlerhorst" viewpoint, where the view has unfortunately become overgrown.

At Hürnheim there are two medieval castles that are good to hike to. On the edge of the Ries there is also a historic battlefield from the Thirty Years' War. Today, however, everything was peaceful in beautiful sunshine with a great view into the Ries.

Ich bin mit dem Zug nach Samstens gefahren. Über Puddemin zur Fähre nach Stahlbrode und zurück nach Stralsund.

A beautiful stretch of Rügen towards Puddemin with lots of landscape and the strait. I then took the ferry back to the mainland. Via Brandshagen, I rode back to Stralsund over a lot of cobblestones. I found the many old churches along the route very impressive.

The parishes in Rothenburg have invited to a joint family day. Since the drive to Rothenburg is a beautiful, varied route, I grabbed my bike. On the way back, I gained altitude over the Frankenhöhe.
