In order to reduce the risk of blockages on bridges and weirs on the lower Mangfall in the event of a flood, the WWA Rosenheim set up a wildwood rake in the Leitzach in 2008/2009. The driftwood collects in the V-shaped construction, while the water can continue to flow through the bars. In order to be able to withstand the enormous forces, the 17 pipes reach nine meters into the ground. The rake is cleared after a flood.
