The Ruhr Valley Cycle Route (own spelling: RuhrtalRadweg) is a 240 km long cycle route along the Ruhr from the source at the Ruhrkopf near Winterberg to the mouth near Duisburg-Ruhrort. The cycle route was officially opened with an opening ceremony on the grounds of the Zeche Nachtigall on 30 April 2006.
