The house of Miera-Rubalcaba is located in Rubalcaba (Liérganes) and was ordered to be built by Felipe García de Miera Rubalcaba y Velasco in the 18th century. This building stands out for the large cross located in one of the corners of the property. This house is built mostly in ashlar masonry, it has two stories high mixing styles between classic and baroque. In this we can appreciate arches in the interior highlighting the family coat of arms and the balcony. The balcony is unusually arranged according to the mountain architecture style. This is located in the corner of the building, giving the house an asymmetry that draws the attention of visitors. The shield that appears on the façade is perfectly well preserved, highlighting the arms of the Miera, Rubalcaba, Velasco, Riba and Agüero families.
