I am the wet oak and almost 300 years old.
In my youth I had long, sweeping branches and was much wider and more beautiful. My neighbors were fruit trees.
Sheep grazed below me - I gladly gave them shade.
Between 1963 and 1971, at the suggestion of Mayor Allgöwer, the students of the Nellingen School created a new forest.
The school forest!
Unfortunately, the trees were planted too close to me. The result: some of my beautiful branches have died from lack of light.
