That was certainly a highlight at the moment the photo was taken, but it says nothing about whether the location stands out in any way at other times or other weather conditions. For the community that uses the highlights to plan their own tours, this is worthless and only makes it more difficult to find interesting places that they could visit on their own tours.

Seasonal highlights are ok, but sunrises and sunsets, which are beautiful almost everywhere at that moment given the right weather conditions (but only for a few minutes under the right conditions) are of no use.
