Hiking

The Schillerstraße is a street in the old town of Weimar. It runs from Frauentorstraße to Theaterplatz, where it meets the Wittumspalais. It is a pure pedestrian promenade with the house where Schiller lived & some cafés & shops. The Weimar city fortifications originally ran through this street. This street was formerly the Esplanade. The last residential house of Friedrich Schiller there, the Schillerhaus (Schillerstraße 12), finally gave this street its name.
