The Tropenmuseum, founded in 1864 as a Colonial Museum, is a Dutch ethnological museum on the Linnaeusstraat in Amsterdam. It has a large collection of ethnographic artifacts from tropical and subtropical areas, especially from the former Dutch overseas territories. Until 2014, it was part of the Royal Tropical Institute, today the museum is part of the National Museum of World Cultures. (Wikipedia)
