The Tiefwarensee, which is around 2,700 metres long and 680 metres wide, is located on the north-eastern edge of Waren (Müritz). It is a so-called glacial channel lake that was formed during the Ice Age and has a distinctive southern bay. The Tiefwarensee is only separated from the Müritz by a land bridge around 300 metres wide.
The lake has also developed into a popular local recreation area with canoe and boat rentals and the possibility of fishing due to its location. Windsurfing and motorboats are prohibited, however. The Tiefwarensee Ice Age educational trail, which is around ten kilometres long, runs around the water, which is part of the Torgelower See nature reserve and can be completed on foot or by bike. waren.m-vp.de/tiefwarensee

A lap around this lake is always worthwhile. Great impressions and very nice opportunities to look at the lake are waiting for you.
