Rorschach main station is an elongated classicist building that was built by construction manager Trindler and architect Karl August Hiller. For a long time it was one of the most important stations of the Swiss Federal Railways. The modern station lift, also referred to by some as Rorschach's new landmark, is made of concrete and glass. The lift overcomes a height difference of 25 meters and only takes 14.5 seconds to give its users a fantastic view of Rorschach, the region and Lake Constance with the neighboring countries of Germany and Austria.
