In 1313, the cellar master of the Schuttern monastery, Berthold von Uttenheim, donated a chapel in Heiligenzell that was dedicated to St. George. After the foundation stone of today's "Schlössle", the chapel was rebuilt in 1477 and expanded into a provost.
